G-Force Release Notes      26 Feb 2001, Version 2.0
=====================      ========================

    G-Force for Winamp and the standalone G-Force uses Apple's QuickTime in order to display various media formats within the G-Force window. For example, in the MacOS version of G-Force, a MPEG, AVI, MOV, or image file placed inside the G-Force sprites folder will eventually streak around inside the G-Force window (see the FAQ in the documentation). Unfortunately, QuickTime 4 for Windows does not support MPEG or AVI files (QT4 only MOV files and all image formats). QuickTime 5 for Windows, on the other hand, supports MPEG but is still in the beta testing phase and has exhibited problems.

    So unless QuickTime is installed on your system, you're limited to TXT and BMP sprites. Otherwise, you'll see "Error loading: blah" if G-Force tries to load a sprite other than a text or BMP file.

    If you're not sure what things like 'sprites' and 'particles' are, just run and watch G-Force for a while and then check out the HTML docs.

    In the HTML docs, be sure you read the section labeled "Important" on the main page. Look out for updates on the G-Force web page.
